EMSELLA® – Clinical Applications And Outcomes
A Deeper Look At How EMSELLA® Works
EMSELLA is used to stimulate pelvic floor musculature through high-intensity electromagnetic energy. The goal is to create deep, repeated contractions that help strengthen the pelvic floor over time. EMSELLA is used for both women and men, and it can be delivered as a standalone service or alongside chiropractic and rehabilitative care.
Clinical Applications
EMSELLA is commonly used in care plans that support:
- Stress and urge urinary incontinence
- Postpartum pelvic floor weakness
- Age-related pelvic muscle decline
- Core and pelvic instability
- Post-prostate urinary leakage in men
While urinary control is often the primary focus, some patients also report improvements in confidence and aspects of sexual wellness as pelvic floor strength improves. Experiences vary by individual.
Treatment Series And Expectations
Most patients complete a series of six treatments over several weeks. Some people notice changes early, with continued gains as muscle strength improves through the series.
EMSELLA is non-invasive and requires no downtime, which makes it easy to fit into busy schedules. It may be used on its own or integrated with chiropractic care and supportive therapies when appropriate.
